“International standard quality education acts like a passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those students who achieve it today. Nobody can achieve success accidentally. We must plan our goal at first and then need to create opportunity without waiting for a chance,” Dr. Shakira Nova, Brand Ambassador of Global University Admission and Immigration Center (GUAIC) remarks while she was contacted. And to be perfectly able to win the globally competitive race of highly ambitious life with dreams, vision and meaningful. Very briefly to mention here that Dr. Shakira Nova’s life and goal- oriented career are filled with a huge success and prominent achievements. It highly motivates others to strive and greater accomplishments that she gained through remarkable hard work. As a result, her dreams and journey are endless. She is an idol and inspiration to other women. Dr. Nova a person of brilliance elegance, outstanding talents with a fascinating energy. She wishes the girls to be educated advanced similar to the boys equally, as she works for their equality and equity as a health and rights activist. Nova is a doctor by profession. Prior to joining GUAIC, she worked at a world class Medical Consultation Center Concord Diagnostics and Molecular Lab as a Consultant Endocrinologist. She obtained her MBBS degree from Rangpur Medical College and Hospital. And completed Masters of Public Health (MPH) with major in Reproductive and Child Health from Adventist International Institute of Advanced Studies, Philippines. In addition, she acquired another Masters in Public Health with major in Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) from American Independent University, California, USA. She contributed a lot in public health sector both at home and abroad. She worked with USAID, DFID, SIDA in Bangladesh and held International Position "Technical support Specialist" abroad. That was a Project of London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in collaboration with Ministry of Public Health, Kabul, Afghanistan. After completion of postgraduate course and training in Endocrinology from BIRDEM and Bangladesh University of Professionals-- she started working as a consultant Endocrinologist. She was conferred a Fellowship in Family Medicine from Bangladesh College of General Practitioners accredited by MRCGP, UK. She has completed Diploma course in Asthma jointly organized by ICDDR,B and Education for Health (EfH), UK. She earned long experiences of "Imparting Training" on Quality Assurance and Quality of Care in Reproductive Health in clinical settings at various Public Hospitals of Bangladesh (DMC, SSMC, CMC, RpMC, RMC, KMC etc.). She is a former Trainer of ICDDR,B and guest Trainer of NIPORT. Through Dr. Nova’s farsighted leadership, the Global University Admission and Immigration Center (GUAIC) has become a trusted resource for students around the world, helping them navigate the complexities of international education with confidence and clarity. Her vision continues to empower students, making their academic dreams a reality while fostering a global community of learners. Dr. Shakira Nova is an accomplished healthcare professional and the dynamic Brand Ambassador of GUAIC, a leading institute dedicated to helping students gaining admission to top universities worldwide. She also hosted a series of health shows at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore, which aired on SA TV. Nova’s artistic presentation and literary spirit have brought her fame at home and abroad. At present she is working as a news anchor on Millennium TV USA. Dr. Nova has been closely associated with literature and culture since her early age. She is also a brand celebrity in cultural and literary events. She performs music with her melodious voice on various television channels while the schedule fits her. She already pens more than one hundred English poetry and participated in many national and international programs. Such as her participation in international essay competition organized by Radio Beijing, China and awarded her accordingly. Dr. Shakira Nova is also involved in social work. She is holding an important position "Club Secretary" at Rotary Club Baridhara Central. As a Rotarian she has been regularly supporting the poor and needy people of the country. She also worked on adolescent reproductive health. She writes regularly in the mainstream newspapers on women empowerment, women’s reproductive health and rights (SRHR), non- communicable diseases (NCDs) among other issues. A daily newspaper in Kathmandu, Nepal: “The Himalayan” published news about Nova’s extraordinary contribution and accomplishments in women and girls’ reproductive health in South Asian countries. Dr. Sakira Nova's contribution is significant. She is the pioneer female Sports Medicine Expert in Bangladesh certified by International Olympic Committee. As part of her activities to ensure the health safety of players she has taken the lead and contributed historically the best. She has been prominently involved with the government of Bangladesh from 2003 to 2008, and playing a significant role in contributing to the various aspects through association with International Special Olympics. Dr. Nova leads the Global University Admission and Immigration Center with a commitment to excellence, providing students with comprehensive guidance on university admissions, visa processing, and immigration services.
