Hasnat Abdullah, convener of the anti-discrimination student movement, has commented that the house at Dhanmondi 32 should have been razed to the ground on August 5, the day the Sheikh Hasina government fell.

He made the comment while going live on his verified Facebook ID at around 5 pm on Friday (February 7).

Stating that the Awami League has enjoyed the most freedom since August 5, Hasnat Abdullah said, "You can tell just by looking at their comments. They are enjoying the freedom to make threats in comments on social media. There is no fear among them. They are still continuing to make threats."

He said, "There is no place in the world where fascism has not been eradicated and the symbols of fascism have been left behind. Dhanmondi 32 should have been razed to the ground on August 5, which everyone did spontaneously later."

The convener of the anti-discrimination student movement said, Awami League is not a political party. Awami League is a fascist force. Their foundation is based on lies. Their campaign and manifesto are lies. There is no minimum sense of remorse within Awami League. Threats and intimidation are still ongoing.

He said, "The BNP-Jamaat and other political parties were the oppressed and oppressed, and the Awami League played the role of the oppressor. The next Bangladesh is ours. We, who have overthrown fascism, this Bangladesh is ours."

Hasnat Abdullah also vented his anger at the secretaries and bureaucrats on the live broadcast. Warning the secretaries and bureaucrats, he said that the speed of the secretariat should not be like that of No. 32, the speed of the secretariat should not be like that of Ganabhaban.

Addressing them, the convener of the anti-discrimination student movement said, "The Awami League has used you as a tool. You have come to serve the people. You are committed to the people, not to a political party. Keep this in mind."

Hasnat said, "If you think that by sitting in the secretariat, you will maintain good relations with Dhanmondi and India, then you will be made irrelevant just as the Awami League has been made irrelevant in Bangladesh."

Advising the secretaries and bureaucrats, Hasnat Abdullah said, "Work for the people, realize the power of the people. I would really like it if the Secretariat did not end up like Dhanmondi 32. I would really like it if it were not this year, but 10 years later, 15 years later, or 20 years later, the Secretariat would not end up like Ganabhaban."

The convener of the anti-discrimination student movement also said, "So get an education, get an education from Dhanmondi 32, get an education from Ganabhaban."
